An update from our Digital Ambassador

Hey guys, it’s Stephan, your Digital Ambassador. It has been a busy couple of months and I am loving it and getting to know you all on Facebook and Zoom too. 

First and foremost welcome to all our new members. It’s great to see so many new people joining get2gether and I hope that you have fun being part of our community. I hope you all enjoyed the Wild Night In, it was great to see so many of you there!

I would like to tell you about a couple of things that I think you should know about! 

We are hosting an open DJ audition for new DJs. This is a chance for all you budding DJs out there to show your DJing skills, so come along and let us see what you’ve got. The audition will be held on zoom so please let me know if you want to book your slot! The date for the DJ Audition is 22nd October, so that hopefully gives you enough time to prepare your set. As you know, I am DJ myself, so don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions!

Another really exciting thing that I would also like to share with you all is the WelcoMe App!

I have been chatting with the creator of the app Gavin and let me tell you something guys, the App is so easy to use and I would encourage all of our members to download it. This works on iphone and Android and here’s the good news: it’s completely free!

WelcoMe is an app for disabled people who like to go places. For example, you decide you are going out to Edinburgh Castle. Open the WelcoMe App ahead of your visit and use the App to tell Edinburgh Castle about your requirements, so when you get there to visit, they already know you are coming and they can be ready for you if you need any extra assistance.
