Ending 2025 together!
Our Friendship in the Spotlight blogs usually share the stories of members who have met through get2gether and built strong friendships. This December, as we look back on another year of love and friendship, we are doing something a little different and shining the spotlight on three people who play an important role in supporting those connections. Our Ambassadors Philip, Michael and Natalie!
We caught up with them to hear about their highlights from 2025, what they have enjoyed most about their roles, and what they are looking forward to in 2026.
Philip
For Philip, 2025 was packed with memorable moments, but one stood out above the rest. The Our Rights, Our Community book launch in June. Sharing his story alongside other get2gether members and celebrating the work created in partnership with Edinburgh Napier University made it a day to remember.

Another highlight was leading get2gether’s new Bucket List Challenge, which launched in 2025. The project focuses on peer support and working together to break down goals into smaller achievable steps and make them happen. Philip is excited to continue developing this exciting new project next year.
Michael
For Michael, 2025 marked an important step as he took on the role of get2gether Ambassador. Over the year, he has enjoyed supporting members to host their own events, developing confidence in his role, and learning what it means to help create welcoming, inclusive spaces for people to connect.
Looking ahead to 2026, Michael is keen to take on more responsibility, lead more events, and continue building relationships with members across the community.

Natalie
For Natalie, 2025 was about continuing to grow in their role as a get2gether Ambassador and supporting members to step forward with confidence. A big highlight was MC’ing the Learning to Date event earlier in the year, as well as seeing more members host events for the first time. They are excited to keep this momentum going into 2026 and continue encouraging members to get involved.

Heading into the New Year Together!
As 2025 draws to a close, it’s been great to reflect on a year of connection, growth, and friendship within the get2gether community. From building new friendships to stepping into opportunities and gaining confidence, this year has shown what makes our community so important.
