April 2026 Cover Story
Try Accessible Cycling This Spring!
Spring has arrived at last, bringing longer days and warmer weather. It’s a great time to get outdoors, try something new, and meet new people.
Joining our Accessible Cycling event this spring is a great opportunity to enjoy fresh air and spend time with others while riding adapted bikes. The bikes are designed for different needs, so everyone can cycle at their own pace and take part in a way that works for them.

What to Expect
Our Accessible Cycling event is a relaxed and friendly way to enjoy being outdoors. You can try different bikes, cycle at your own pace, and take in the park however you like. Some people stick to a short ride, while others explore further. It’s completely up to you!
It’s also a chance to meet other members of the community and have a chat. Everyone is welcome, no matter your experience or confidence on a bike.
“I loved being at the cycling event. I got to ride my bike, talk to my friends, and make new friends as well”- Emma, get2gether member
“I’d never been to Saughton Park before. It was great to cycle around, and I really liked the bike I used”- Davey, get2gether member

Why not join our April Accessible Cycling event!
The next Accessible Cycling event is happening this April. Whether you’re cycling for the first time or already confident on a bike, it’s a relaxed and welcoming space to join in at your own pace.
Thistle also run regular drop-in adaptive bike sessions at Craigmillar and Saughton Park. This means there are chances to try cycling outside of get2gether events. Find out more here:
