Have you heard the news? get2gether is taking on the Edinburgh Kiltwalk for the 3rd time and we already have 24 get2gether members, staff members and supporters signed up to take part in the Wee Wander!
The Wee Wander is a 4.5-mile walk through Edinburgh. Thousands of people will be taking part, and we’re looking forward to being part of it. For the get2gether Kiltwalk team, the Kiltwalk is about more than just completing the walk. It’s about working together towards a shared goal, supporting each other and raising money for get2gether. It’s a chance for our members, staff members and supporters to come together, take on a challenge as a team and help raise money that will support the work we do.
“I wanted to do the Kiltwalk again this year because I want to raise money for get2gether and have fun doing it with my friends. The community magazine is really important to me. I get it through the post every month and love finding out about all the events. I want to raise money so get2gether members can keep getting the magazine each month.”- Emma, get2gether member
“I just want to give something back to get2gether. Being part of get2gether has helped me become more confident and do things I wouldn’t have done before. I want other people to have those same opportunities and feel that way too.”- Nate, get2gether member

Join us for the Wee Wander!
There is still time to join the amazing get2gether Kiltwalk team. Whether you have done the Kiltwalk before or this is something completely new for you, the Wee Wander is a great way to get involved. You can walk at your own pace and enjoy the day with the get2gether team. We spoke to one of our Kiltwalkers who is doing the Kiltwalk for the first time this year to find out why they have decided to take on this challenge:
“I’m doing the Kiltwalk for the first time this year because it’s a new challenge for me. It’s a good reason to get out and about, and I’m looking forward to doing it with the get2gether team.”- Dania, get2gether member
The walk takes place on Sunday 13th September 2026, starting at 10:30am, and covers a 4.5-mile route. Click HERE to register! Once you’ve signed up, let us know and we’ll help you set up your own Givey fundraising page so you can join the amazing team raising money for get2gether!
Want to support the team?
If you can’t join us for the Kiltwalk but would still like to support our Kiltwalkers, you can make a donation to help get them over the finish line! Every donation goes directly to get2gether and will allow us to continue to create social opportunities for adults with disabilities across Edinburgh and the Lothians. Your support helps us bring people together and build friendships. You can read more about our Kiltwalkers, why they are doing it, and make a donation by clicking on their photos or scanning the QR code with your phone camera.
Good luck to all our Kiltwalkers. We’ll see you at the Kiltwalk!
